Growing in the context of grace-infused, local church relationships

Part 4 - Ephesians 4:25-5:2 (ESV) - Pastor Tim Kroeker

Ephesians 4:32

“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”

The third variable in our discipleship equation is relationships. We become more and more like Jesus as we grow in our knowledge of Him and grow in obedience to His commands. This growth happens in the context of grace-infused, local church relationships. In the book of Ephesians, Paul describes a new cosmic reality that previously did not exist, the church. The church is made up of a diverse mix of people who have all been saved by God’s magnificent grace, realized by the powerful unifying presence of the Holy Spirit. These local church relationships are the proving ground for growth as disciples. It is where we learn and live out Christ-like, self-sacrificial love.
