Becoming More And More Like Jesus Over Time

Part 5 - 2 Peter 1:3-11 (ESV) - Pastor Tim Kroeker

Philippians 3:14

“I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

In his second letter, the Apostle Peter conceives of the Christian life as a “road” or “way.” He calls it the “way of righteousness.” This road leads to and ends in the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Sadly, there were some who had deviated off course. Peter warns the believers and challenges them to keep on growing in Christian virtue until they one day confidently cross the finish line. Discipleship isn’t easy. There are no shortcuts to success. We become more and more like Jesus as we diligently pursue godliness over time.
